Born in 1973, I grew up in Pretoria. I was always interested in art, although I mostly painted in acrylics and oils, it was glass that fascinated me the most. It is a marvelous medium to work with - responsive to the direction and degree of light… it is illuminated by light’s reflection and transmission.

Whilst working as a trainer in the corporate world, I started doing stained glass as a hobby and experimented with etching and painting on glass. In 2003, my husband and I decided to move away from the busy city life and settle in the quaint little Karoo town of Aberdeen. It is here that I started my full-time career as a glass artist.

I’m self thought and consider myself a “constant student”, experimenting with new techniques to produce both beautiful and functional pieces. My inspiration lies in the nature that surrounds me. I especially love the striking colors and sights of the Great Karoo. Each of my pieces is created with those perceptions.

My work is exhibited in galleries throughout South Africa and has been sold to international clients. I have also done commissions for the South African Air Force and other corporate companies.
